Confession time: I am torn between Hillary and Obama.
On one hand, I do like and respect Hillary.
On the other hand, I like Obama. But I wonder if I like Obama for the wrong reasons. He's cool. He's a great orator. I like orators. I think he has a better shot at the presidency. I do not want some Repugnican barfbag getting elected.
A lot of folks hate Hillary with every ounce of ire and vitriol their frail bodies can muster.
I generally dislike those people.
Obama is young. Fresh. Shiny.
Hillary is not shiny.
I recently insulted Hill's fellatio skills. (see below)
I don't know. Thoughts?
Posted by Zerd at February 7, 2008 03:37 PMI am an Obama dude, for the new, shiny reasons cited above. It's irrational, I know. I think mostly why I like his oratory is he makes me emotionally connect to the reasons I believe in the political world view to which I already subscribe. I don't get that with Clinton. That's not much of a reason to chose one over the other, but that's where I'm coming from.
That said I will vote for either in the general without a moment's hesitation.

Posted by: Marc at February 8, 2008 12:51 AMMy mom jumped the Clinton ship on Super Tuesday. She caucused for Obama because she says the huge wave of kids who have been getting the vote out need to get a win in order to keep them optimistic about the political process. I think the entire electorate needs to get turned on, and if it takes electing Obama because he's sexy (and *talks* sexy), then so be it!
